Due such a positive response, French Barging and Piper Boats have set aside a build slot for the end of September 2010.

Completion is due towards the end of 2010.

At this point we will host the French Barging launch event at Piper Boats in Stoke.

If, at any point prior to that date, you wish come down and discuss the build, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

We are introducing a new shared ownership opportunity in France, for the 2011 season, with a Piper 45ft by 12 ft widebeam barge.

Prices per share will be comparable to ones for U.K based narrowboats.

The weather and the culture certainly will not be.

With options on various locations, we will initially be operating from our home base in Moissac.

Owners will be able to cruise effortlessly the canals and rivers of the beautiful Tarn-et-Garonne region, travelling south, if they wish, through Languedoc along the famed Canal du Midi, to Carcassone and Beziers.

The barge itself has been designed by ourselves and Piper Boats with

Continental cruising in mind.

Plenty of open deck space, with a retractable shade canopy, whilst inside the boat will comfortably accommodate 4 persons.

A great family boat or a romantic floating gite for 2.

Piper Boats are renowned for their excellent build quality, superb handling and attention to detail.
